Entrepreneurs who are ready to launch their business can apply to participate in our 6-week cohort. Our cohort experience consists of experiential learning with your cohort, building leadership and management capacity and business acumen in venture start up and growth. The cohort runs bi-annually (Winter/Spring Cohort and a Fall Cohort) and applications are reviewed by an Alumni-led selection committee.
The cohort typically runs on Thursday evenings (5-9pm) and Fridays (9-4pm) during the 6 weeks of programming.
B4C is purposeful in building a strong and connected community, whether it is within the cohort or the general alumni network. This community of practice and expertise is key in the support and growth of B4C’s Impact Ventures. For this reason, we carefully select changemakers who are open to growing and shifting their perspectives as social innovators and business leaders.
Throughout the 6-week bootcamp, entrepreneurs will participate in a number of workshops designed to address key learning objectives to build a market-ready and investment-ready impact venture.
Workshops are hands-on and interactive focusing on the needs of the individuals in the cohort.
The B4C Cohort begins with a retreat in order to build trust and relationships within the group that will help guide the programming for the remainder of the cohort. The retreat is designed to provide a safe space to learn about the other companies in the group while setting the expectations and objectives for the next 6 weeks.
B4C seeks entrepreneurs that want to have a positive social impact. The cohort is for early-stage impact ventures who are looking to refine their business model and build a sustainable business.
Companies should: have an existing legal structure (or be in the process of establishing one), be driven to become market-ready and investment-ready, and looking to have a positive social impact.
If you aren’t quite ready for the cohort, you can apply for B4C start!
The cohort experience is highly subsidized to ensure it is accessible to most social entrepreneurs. With a value of over $10,000 per company – the cost to the entrepreneur is only $500.
